How fees and comparisons work

How trading fees are calculated, where information comes from and what to check when comparing.

On this page

Which fee does the tool calculate?

The calculator multiplies your USD-equivalent trade amount by the relevant Maker or Taker rate, rounding half up to cents. Check the product, account tier and trading pair named in the fee table before applying a rate to your trade.

This estimates the trading fee. Funding, currency conversion, spreads in quotes and any withdrawal charges need separate checks. The tool does not simulate execution prices, the currency actually charged or the final quantity received, and it does not quote the full cost of buying crypto.

The full-cost guide uses clearly labeled assumptions to explain how charges add up. For your own quote, check which amount a fee applies to, which currency pays it and whether it is already included. Convert different currencies using an explicit exchange rate. If you do not plan to withdraw, leave that withdrawal charge out of this comparison.

Where do rates and account requirements come from?

We mainly consult official exchange fee schedules, service terms, help centres and referral-program rules. Each piece of information needs to be read for the right service provider, region, product, trading pair and account tier.

For example, being able to deposit a currency does not guarantee a direct pair for the asset you want to buy. Being able to trade does not necessarily let you join a referral promotion. Rates for one region or VIP tier cannot simply be applied to another account.

When official documents differ, we explain the difference and compare products and effective dates. If it remains unclear, check your own account or contact the platform rather than choosing the lower number.

Check account conditions before comparing rates

Ordinary spot trading, fiat pairs, instant purchases and special trading zones can have different charges. Bybit lists these separately and notes that actual rates may vary by region. Bybit fee information

Check whether a published rate applies to your account and pair. Seeing a fee here also does not mean you can necessarily open an account with that platform.

What if a fee is missing or out of date?

A charge we cannot confirm is not treated as zero. Outdated rates are not used for estimates. Missing required charges, unclear account conditions or amounts outside the supported range prevent a complete total. You can check the known parts here and look up the remaining charges on the official site.

Comparisons are grouped by local service availability, then ordered by platform name. This is not a ranking of the best platforms. Commission does not affect fee calculations or ordering.

How should I read the dates?

An article’s update date shows its latest substantive text revision. A rate or regional requirement has a date showing when its source was checked. Rewriting an article does not recheck every fee, and a “Next check” date is not a promise from the exchange to keep its rates unchanged until then.

An out-of-date notice means you may need to confirm the information again, not that the exchange has definitely changed its price. We do not guarantee a fixed update interval. See information updates for changes.

Content comes from public information, not first-hand tests of account opening, funding times or execution quality. Hypothetical calculations are labeled and are not real quotes. See About CoinNav for content responsibility and the use of automated tools.
