How to deposit AUD into OKX Australia: steps and checks

Follow AUD funding from your bank to OKX, check account names and limits, reconcile an 800 AUD example and locate a missing payment by its stage.

On this page

To fund OKX with AUD in Australia, obtain the payment details inside your own account, make the payment through your bank, then reconcile the AUD deposit. A completed bank payment is not proof of exchange credit. An AUD balance is not a completed crypto purchase.

This guide covers funding and reconciliation. If you are still choosing a platform, start with our Australian AUD cost comparison. Public sources were checked on 6 September 2026, Beijing time. We did not open an account or make a deposit. The scope is AUD bank funding for Australian individual accounts.

Separate three checks before paying

Check What to establish Why it matters
Your OKX account Required verification is complete and an AUD bank method appears Reading an Australian tutorial does not establish your account's access
The paying account Your matching-name account at a local Australian bank Official instructions exclude third-party payments, services such as Wise and other exchanges
This payment Current destination details, amount, available limit and charges Another person's details or an old screenshot cannot supply your instructions

Keep products separate too. The Australian service overview identifies OKX Australia Pty Ltd as the digital-currency exchange provider. This guide does not cover margin, derivatives or OKX Card, or transfer their conditions to AUD spot funding.

Five steps from instructions to reconciliation

  1. Open cash funding. On the web, use Assets → Deposit → Australian Dollar. In the app, use Transfer → Deposit, then AUD under Cash. Labels can differ with interface language.
  2. Read the method card. Review the current fee, expected processing time and remaining allowance, including its details. Do not substitute a historical image for your limit.
  3. Obtain the payment instructions in your own account. Match the recipient, banking information and any required payment fields. Our practical suggestion is a short checklist of the amount, destination and required reference. Do not invent information for fields the page does not request.
  4. Pay through your bank after checking. Keep the receipt and transaction identifier. Reading the instructions or selecting Done in OKX does not itself demonstrate that the bank executed a payment.
  5. Reconcile the credit. Look in All deposits on the web or AUD transactions in the app. Match this payment's currency, amount and time against the receipt. Confirm the balance change before deciding on a trade.

Menu and history locations come from the official funding guide; fee, limit and timing fields are explained in the cash-deposit guide.

Reconciling an 800 AUD payment

OKX's Australian guide states that it does not charge for this AUD bank-deposit route; your bank may charge separately. That describes funding, not a fee-free purchase, currency conversion or withdrawal.

The following is a fictional reconciliation example, not a bank quote. Suppose you instruct an 800 AUD payment and your bank charges another 1.50 AUD, without deducting that charge from the principal:

Record Example amount Meaning
Transfer principal 800.00 AUD The payment amount
Separate bank charge 1.50 AUD An assumption; inspect your bank's record
Reduction in bank balance 801.50 AUD 800.00 + 1.50
Target exchange credit 800.00 AUD Assumes the full principal arrives and no platform deposit charge; reconcile the actual credit

If your entire budget is 800 AUD, the same separately charged-fee assumption leaves 798.50 AUD for the payment principal. Conversely, a platform credit of 798.50 AUD does not by itself prove that OKX charged 1.50 AUD: compare any charge deducted by the bank, the receipt's payment amount and the platform entry.

This is an accounting method, not a statement that a specific funding method uses both charging arrangements. Trading costs come after funding; see checking the full cost of buying crypto.

A missing deposit: identify the stage first

This is CoinNav's diagnostic sequence. It helps identify evidence and the appropriate contact; it is neither an exhaustive list of rejection reasons nor a refund-time promise.

What you see Evidence to collect Next action
Before paying, no AUD bank method appears Verification status, account region and displayed methods Ask official support about access; do not borrow another person's payment details
The bank shows pending and OKX has no entry Bank identifier, actual debit and payment status Ask the bank whether it has executed the payment
The bank shows completed but there is no matching credit Receipt, currency, amount, time and the instructions used Reconcile the two records and ask the platform to trace it; another payment does not test the first one
You discover incorrect payment details or amount Original receipt and the incorrect field Promptly notify both the bank and official platform support; do not assume automatic recovery
The deposit is rejected or being returned Platform notice and bank refund entry Reconcile the actual return status and amount before considering another payment
AUD arrived but there is no BTC or USDT AUD balance, orders and fills Funding has finished; it does not choose an asset or place a trade for you

For a first AUD deposit still missing after one business day, the official guide recommends checking history and the paying bank's support, then contacting support with the bank receipt. This is a troubleshooting point, not a universal one-day completion promise. Official missing-deposit instructions

A useful enquiry states: “I paid [amount] AUD on [date and time zone]. The bank status is [status], transaction identifier [identifier]. My platform account shows [status or no record]. The receipt is attached; please help trace this payment.” Submit it through OKX's official support. CoinNav does not collect bank receipts or identity documents.

Preparing for limits and information requests

A deposit allowance is separate from your bank balance. If you plan to pay 800 AUD but your remaining allowance is 600 AUD, 200 AUD is outside that allowance. Check its scope and reset information, or request a change, before arranging payment.

The Australian limit-increase guide describes Manage Limits on the deposit-instructions page. A request can involve occupation, funding source, expected amount and reason, with supporting income or funds evidence. Submission does not guarantee approval. Do not misstate information or split payments to evade review.

A receipt and proof of funds answer different questions. The receipt identifies the paying account; source-of-funds information can explain how the money was obtained. Salary savings, for example, might be documented with requested payslips and corresponding bank records. That is an example of organizing evidence; your account's request determines whether documents are needed, accepted types and their age.

Final checks before paying

  • The AUD bank method is present in your own account and you have its current instructions.
  • You checked the paying account, name, amount, currency and allowance.
  • You separated platform deposit charges, bank charges and later trading costs, and retained the receipt.
  • Any unresolved earlier payment is being traced before another attempt.
