Understanding OKX means separating Convert quotes, the Spot order book and account balances. Regional entities and account settings affect fees and banking routes. This guide explains the distinctions, how to check available funds and how to compare a transaction's final cost.
OKX Convert simplifies the transaction into a quote, while Spot uses an order book. Its European Convert FAQ distinguishes quoted conversion costs from tier-based maker/taker fees. A quote may suit a simpler workflow; Spot offers order-price control. In either case, compare the asset amount actually received.
OKX distinguishes Funding and Trading accounts. Its transfer guide explains that purchased assets may arrive in Funding first, while on-chain deposits can be configured to reach Trading. Moving funds between them is an internal transfer, not a withdrawal to an external address. If total assets are visible but an order cannot be placed, check where the available balance sits before depositing again.

An internal transfer is not an on-chain withdrawal. Deposits can also be directed to the trading account; funds already there do not need another transfer.
Check the account, product and region for each table. Rates can differ between them. These estimates cover trading fees only. Funding, withdrawal, FX and spread are separate; unknown amounts are not treated as zero.
Singapore · non-accredited account
Non-Accredited Investor Reg tier at OKX SG Pte. Ltd., effective 27 February 2026: 0.10% maker / 0.20% taker. Check pair exceptions, promotions and your actual tier before ordering.
Australian retail regular-tier spot schedule in the 22 April 2026 notice, excluding zero-fee pairs. Confirm account applicability and pair exceptions; we cannot read the live rates in your account.
For qualifying Australian wholesale accounts on ordinary AUD spot pairs. The 22 April 2026 notice groups non-AUD pairs separately, so this rate must not be applied to every spot pair or to retail accounts.
Australia wholesale · regular tier · non-AUD pairs
The 22 April 2026 notice lists this rate for Australian wholesale regular-tier non-AUD spot Groups 1, 2 and 3. Confirm current pair grouping and account fees; this schedule is not for retail users.
A commonly quoted OKX rate is not a worldwide standard. The reviewed EEA fee FAQ separates Spot schedules according to whether an X-Perps account has been opened; the Australian announcement distinguishes retail and wholesale customers. Account configuration and local customer classification can therefore affect Spot costs. Do not select a schedule by brand alone or activate an unwanted product merely for its fee treatment.
For a hypothetical fill worth 1,000 quote-currency units, an applicable 0.20% fee equals 2 units; at 0.35%, it equals 3.5. The difference is 1.5 units before execution-price differences, funding or withdrawal costs. An Australian schedule cannot substitute for a European account's rates; the fee table on this page identifies the verified scope separately.
How should I fund my account?Check available channels, currencies and account fees.
OKX charges no receiving fee for crypto deposits; sender costs remain separate. Eligible Australian accounts can deposit AUD from a same-name bank account without an OKX deposit fee. Check bank charges before paying. UAE accounts have separate AED/USD bank routes.
What should I check before withdrawing?Confirm the network, address and fee before sending.
Withdrawal charges depend on the asset, network and conditions when submitted. Select the asset and network on the official withdrawal page, review its charge and check that the recipient supports that network. Spot rates exclude this cost.
OKX's terms identify providers by residence, registration circumstances and product. They list OKX Europe Limited for relevant users in approved EEA locations and distinguish Singapore's regulated DPT activities from other product entities. Identify the specific service you intend to use rather than treating every business under the brand as one account permission.
For eligible Australian AUD deposits, the official guide requires a local Australian bank account in the same name. It excludes transfers from other exchanges and cross-border providers such as Wise. OKX charges no deposit fee for this route, although the bank may charge. Holding an AUD account, completing verification and having the deposit feature available are separate checks.
Starting with cash, compare deposits in the same currency, name requirements, processing time and the amount purchased. Starting with crypto, compare deposit networks, Spot pairs and withdrawal costs. OKX says crypto deposits have no receiving-platform charge, whereas on-chain withdrawals incur a network fee. A cheaper purchase does not necessarily give the lowest cost once funds reach the destination wallet.
Compare workflows for the intended task. For a single conversion, inspect the net quote from OKX Convert and the alternative platform. For repeated trading, compare order-book charges at comparable account tiers and the available execution controls. Our suggested comparison separates quoted prices, trading commissions and funding costs, instead of ranking an all-in quote against one isolated commission.
Why can an OKX Convert amount differ from the chart price despite no trading fee?
The European FAQ explains that Convert costs are included in its quote. A chart reference is not an executable conversion price. Check the confirmation amount; converting back is another quoted transaction rather than a cost-free undo.
Why can OKX show assets but insufficient available Spot balance?
Check whether assets are in Funding or committed to orders or other products. OKX supports transfers into Trading, but frozen funds or assets securing positions may be unavailable. Review the account and available balance before deciding whether more funds are needed.
Can I deposit AUD to an Australian OKX account using Wise?
The reviewed AUD bank-deposit guide excludes cross-border providers such as Wise and requires a same-name local Australian bank account. An account denominated in AUD does not by itself satisfy those route requirements.
Do zero-fee OKX pairs count toward a higher fee tier?
The reviewed EEA fee FAQ excludes zero-fee pairs from the 30-day Spot volume calculation, while promotional volume can follow campaign-specific rules. Total recorded turnover is therefore not automatically qualifying VIP-tier volume.
